TRIBUN-MEDAN.com - 66 persen remaja putri usia sekolah menengah pertama (SMP) dan sekolah menengah atas (SMA) tidak lagi perawan. Data ini beradasar hasil Survei Komisi Penanggulangan AIDS (KPA) yang dilakukan secara nasional.

Itu artinya remaja zaman sekarang rentan terhadap seks bebas dan narkoba akibat kurang kontrolnya terhadap perkembangan teknologi informasi yang menyebar secara bebas.

"Jika teknologi informasi yang berkembang pesat saat ini tidak dilakukan kontrol dan pemahaman dengan baik, akan menjadi titik awal mula seks bebas dan penyalahgunaan narkoba," ujar Pemerhati Kesehatan Reproduksi Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Kesehatan (Stikes) Aisyiah Surakarta, Maryatun pada seminar tentang "Kesehatan Reproduksi Remaja dan Narkoba" di Sukoharjo.

Menurut Maryatun, pada saat usia-usia remaja ini, satu dari tujuh anak laki-laki sudah mulai coba-coba, baik terhadap seks, rokok, maupun narkoba.

Dengan demikian, sangat mungkin terjadi peningkatan angka kejahatan reproduksi dan penyalahgunaan narkoba di kalangan remaja saat ini.

"Misalnya soal kehamilan usia dini atau kehamilan akibat tindak kejahatan, dan perilaku seks bebas yang terjadi pada remaja," katanya.

Menurut survei, katanya, saat ini didapati bahwa usia rata-rata pernikahan terjadi pada umur 19 tahun.

"Hal ini tentu sangat bahaya dan tidak baik terhadap kesehatan reproduksi, karena seluruh organ reproduksi belum terbentuk sempurna," katanya.

Ia mengatakan, pernikahan secara ideal mulai pada usia 21 tahun. "Terkait hal tersebut, saat ini kami memang gencar melakukan penyuluhan bagi para pelajar mengenai pemahaman akan pentingnya menjaga kesehatan reproduksi remaja dan bahaya narkoba," katanya.
